Placement Exams

Special Note Regarding Foreign Language Placement Testing: If you plan to take a course in Spanish or Italian at Cornell and have already studied the language or learned it at home, you may need to take a placement test. Some placement tests in Italian and Spanish will be available online later this summer, and you will be able to take them using a Windows or Macintosh computer before arriving in Ithaca. Sign up now at http://lrc.cornell.edu/rs/placementinfo to be notified of the tests' web address and availability. You will receive an email telling you the web location of these tests. Taking them over the summer will save you time during the very busy New Student Orientation period.
