	Name: Christine Hometown: Poway, CA Major: Operations Research Engineering Year: 2010 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: I'm still trying to figure out next week. As for any plans after that... Be rich, and famous and happy, but mostly happy. Interesting Facts: I've played the piano for 14 years and you will rarely see me without some form of music(listening, humming, writing, hopefully not singing but that happens occasionally much to the dismay of anyone who is in range to hear). I was born in Kentucky and my family moved to San Diego when I was seven. Miscellaneous: I'm the only engineering student currently on the Tatkon staff. I am involved with the Society of Women Engineers on campus and at home/in my free time (free time... what's that?) I am actively involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and A.R.T.S., A Reason To Survive, which is an organization in San Diego that brings art and music classes to orphanages and children's hospitals. I am also a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.

	Name: Danielle Hometown: Carmel, NY Major: Biological Sciences Year: 2010 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: I would love to take a year off after I graduate to do medical missions, then attend medical school somewhere close to home. I plan to specialize in surgery, and after I've finished my training I want to do a bunch of short-term medical trips to third world countries. Marriage and a few kids along the way would be nice too! Interesting Facts: I am obsessed with learning human anatomy. I did gymnastics in High School. I absolutely love the Lordof the Rings! My mom cooks the most amazing Italian food, which I looooove to eat! I had open heart surgery when I was seven years old. 	Name: Elizabeth Hometown: Kampala Uganda Major: Economics Year: 2011 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: After graduation, I would like to work as an investment banker before going to law school. I would like to specialize in either corporate law or international law. If I do study international law, I would like to work for the UN someday. I also hope to get married and have five kids! Interesting Facts : I am Ugandan though I was born and raised in Nairobi Kenya. I have been in the US for one year. I speak three languages - English, Swahili and French. Miscellaneous: At Cornell, I am a member of the Women's Club Rugby Team, a Psychology TA and co-chairperson of the Ivy Corp- a charity organization that is part of the Ivy Council. 	Name: Hansen Hometown: San Diego, CA Major: Economics & Psychology Year: 2011 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: Study abroad in Germany next summer, master the German language, do well in school, land an exceptionally lucrative job, perhaps as an investment banker, purchase and live in a beautiful beach house on the coast of San Diego. Interesting Facts: I can blow water rings underwater, I do a little magic, I like working out and running, and I play the cello. Miscellaneous: I'm excited for what life has in store for me. 	Name: Jaclyn Hometown: Farmingville, NY Major: Industrial and Labor Relations Year: 2011 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: After graduation, I plan on going to law school. I'm hoping to attend school either in New York City or Washington D.C. However, if I could never leave Cornell and make being a full-time student here my life-long career, I would gladly do it. Interesting Facts: I was a cheerleader all through high school and am now a Cornell Cheerleader. My absolute favorite food in the world is ice cream, though Trillium quesadillas are a close second! Miscellaneous: I'm weirdly obsessed with Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. My favorite library to study in is Catherwood and I basically run on vanilla lattes. 	Name: Jenna Hometown: Barrington, IL Major: Operations Research and Information Engineering Year: 2010 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: I plan on moving to a large city and living in the bustle for a while. At some point, I intend to return to school and get my MBA. I am not sure where I will head from there but I hope that a beach house is in the picture. Interesting Facts: I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Spokane, Washington when I was 9. I now live in a suburb outside of Chicago in Illinois. Despite living in multiple places, I am horrible at geography. Miscellaneous: I always attempt the daily crossword puzzles, and I am a founder of the Cornell Scrabble Club. I am really interested in global trade networks. Last semester, I was a consultant for a Paraguayan indigenous group and put together a fair trade market strategy for them. 	Name: Jessica Hometown: Malvern, PA Major: Government Year: 2011 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans : I'm considering either going to law school or going to school for a graduate degree in political science after I graduate from Cornell. I hope to be able to study abroad and in Washington D.C. while at Cornell, and I expect that I'll eventually end up in the D.C. area when I eventually enter the real world. Finally, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to have a big family, just like mine. Interesting Facts: I grew up in a house with three younger brothers and more pets than people. I absolutely love music and attend as many concerts as I can. I have a huge obsession with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I've been studying French since 8th grade and hope someday I'll be able to live in Paris. My middle name is Brew (which is my mom's maiden name, just so no one gets the wrong idea about my parents...:)) Miscellaneous:Most people call me Jess, although sometimes it feels like I have hundreds of nicknames. 	Name: Nadya Hometown: Brooklyn, NY Major: Biology and Society Year: 2011 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: I anticipate attending medical school and am interested in specializing in family medicine. I would like to practice in health clinics that serve underserved populations and spend time with family and friends. Interesting Facts: Two of my cousins are famous reggae singers. I only went to half of both third and fourth grades. I am a New Year's Eve baby. I have a picture with Reginald Veljohnson, the dad on the sitcom, Family Matters. I gave Hilary Clinton a box of girl scout cookies and got her autograph. I shadowed physicians and dentists this summer and observed several procedures including a colonoscopy and cavity filling. Miscellaneous: I like to cook (especially Jamaican food). Stuff my head with as much useless knowledge as possible because that's what I love doing. We'll see what happens after that. Interesting Facts: I am addicted to Taco Bell and I'm a vegetarian. I am obsessed with Batman and Kanye West. Miscellaneous: I love running, taking pictures, and riding trains. My favorite place on campus is on the footbridge over Beebe Lake and the waterfall. I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, and this is our year! I like to pretend I actually live in Chicago even though I'm from the suburbs. On campus I am involved with Orientation and Greek Life. 	Name: Timothy Hometown: Stanley, NY Major: AEM Year: 2010 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans : My future is somewhat up in the air right now. Some days it could be finance, others consulting, and possibly something totally different. Id like to make a lot of money, and then someday start my own business. Interesting Facts: I live on a pumpkin farm complete with squash, gourds, and an 8-acre corn maze. I have been to the emergency room 14 times, and I am somewhat of a classical music buff. Miscellaneous: I was a childhood actor appearing in a short film, and a commercial for the company Paychex. Favorite Quote: The biggest risk is not taking one

	Name: Deanne Hometown: Redmond, Washington Major: Economics Year: 2012 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans : After studying at Cornell, I would love to spend some time traveling the world and working abroad before settling down at a job or continuing my studies at grad school. My goal is to have as much fun as possible and experience as much of the world as I can while I’m young, and in the far future to happily settle down with a big family, lots of pets, and a cozy cabin home in the mountains. Interesting Facts: I am the heaviest sleeper I know and have yet to find an alarm clock that can reliably wake me up in time. I am half Korean and travel to Korea to visit my family there every few years. I love all sweets and chocolate. I love learning languages and someday want to travel the world to explore all the different languages and exotic cultures that the world has to offer. Miscellaneous: I love learning about and meeting new people. Even though I miss my home on the West Coast, I am in love with Ithaca and Cornell (people have told me I’m a townie at heart) and would stay at school at Cornell forever if I could. As for now, I think that I’d like to go into the field of global health. I would love to work for an organization that helps improve the health and access to health care for individuals in resource-poor countries. Interesting Facts: I played competitive softball all throughout high school and am an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. I love to cook – in fact, I actually considered applying to culinary school instead of Cornell! Miscellaneous: I’m planning to double minor in Policy Analysis Management and Global Health. Mostly though, I just want to help people and be happy. Interesting Facts: I worked at a knitting store for 3 years—because of this, some of my closest friends are retired. 	Name: Benjamin Hometown: Great Neck, NY Major: Undecided (Leaning economics) Year: 2012 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans : My academic interests seem to shift every day, so its hard for me to pinpoint any future aspiration with respect to graduate school or the workforce. While I'm young, I would love to travel as much as possible. All I really hope for the future is happiness. Interesting Facts: I have a pet frog named Gilly. I am a diehard Yankees and Jets fan. Since entering Cornell, I have become a connoisseur of campus wok food, my favorite being the Risley dining hall. 	Name: Lilian Hometown: New York City Major: Natural Resources Year: 2012 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans : I would definitely like to study abroad in Kenya, at The Center for Wildlife Management Studies. After graduation I’d like to work with a wildlife conservation group, especially one that focuses on African megafauna (I mean, who doesn’t love baby elephants?). At some point I’d like to go to graduate school, grow all of my own food, and own a couple of Irish Wolfhounds. My ultimate goal, however, is to retire at a place where giraffes can poke their heads in through the windows. Interesting Facts: I teach tree climbing for Cornell Outdoor Education, and I’m pretty sure no Cornell education is complete without it. I have spent two summers camping in Costa Rica while working on a sea turtle conservation project. Miscellaneous: I love thrift stores, farmers markets, and being vegetarian. I have backpacked through six countries in Central America, I was on my high school bowling team, and I have a very friendly leopard gecko named Hadji. 	Name: Sheri Hometown: Horseheads, NY Major: AEM Year:2012 Email:Carol_Tatkon_Center@cornell.edu Future Plans: I plan to travel a bit post graduation, then eventually work abroad in a marketing/PR related job for a couple of years before coming back to the States to settle down. I also plan on buying a lot of shoes in the future and hope also to be happy. Interesting Facts: I chose to attend Cornell in order to stay close to family and my 6 year old little brother. However, before I even got to Cornell, my parents decided to move to Paris! So much for that….. (But living in Paris does have its perks!) Miscellaneous: I find cooking therapeutic, I have no middle name, and I used to live in the Loop in St. Louis (where Nelly is from!) I feel like I switch my future plans every day. Interesting Facts: I have three younger brothers and I couldn’t imagine growing up any other way. My birthday, May 9th, is also the birthday of my favorite musician, the great Billy Joel. I’m also a huge New York sports fan (Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers). Miscellaneous: I love food, which definitely comes from growing up in an Italian family. I’m also a member of Zeta Beta Tau.
