Immigration: From Ellis Island to the US-Mexico Wall
November 4 – December 14, Tatkon Center Art Gallery:

(Sponsored by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, Carol Tatkon Center, Department of International and Comparative Labor, and the Office of the Dean of Students)
Visit the Tatkon Center this month to view an exhibition highlighting 20th and 21st century migration into the United States. Photographs of Ellis Island from the Library of Congress and photographs of the US-Mexico Wall provided by Professor Maria Cook will be displayed. Part of The Grapes of Wrath at the Tatkon Center series.

This film explores the hate-based attempted murders of two Mexican day laborers that catapult a small Long Island town into national headlines. Hailed by the New York Times as a “primer” on the explosive issue of illegal immigration this is an event you won’t want to miss!
